The mission of the Callaway County United Way is to improve, consistently and measurably, the quality of life for all the people of Callaway County by raising and distributing funds, mobilizing community resources, and encouraging innovative solutions to the community's health and human service needs, while being aware of our environmental responsibilities.
The purpose of the Corporation shall be to provide home care services to the residents of Central Missouri; to study community health needs and to take take action to meet those needs; to nurture public awareness of available home care services; and promote favorable public opinion relating to the challenge of providing effective home care services. The Corporation will accept multiple funding sources and donations, gifts and other funds to assure provision of its corporate purposes, adequate programs, and services to citizens of Missouri.
Homemaker Health Care, Inc. assists elderly and disabled members. The Community Outreach Program has assisted thousands of individuals remain in their homes by loaning required medical equipment to these individuals free of charge. The medical equipment ranges from canes and walkers to hospitable beds, wheelchairs, bedside commodes, shower transfer benches, and more. Additionally, Homemaker Health Care, Inc. has provided education on proper use and care of the medical equipment to our clients.
