We have a client that started coming to the senior center about 4 months ago. This gentleman has Alzheimer's disease. His daughter is his caregiver. She was having problems getting him to eat and he became very unsocial. We suggested that she bring him to the senior center for lunch. Unfortunately he did not agree.

We have another gentleman that comes to the senior center every day that knows this man. He decided to stop by one day and invite him to come to the senior center as his guest.

This time, he agreed to come. The man only came to the center on occasion at first. But each time he did, everyone made him feel welcome. Now he comes to the senior center every day with his friend, has a nutritious meal, and socializes with all of his newly found friends at the senior center.
