GIRL SCOUTS SUCCESS STORY

This particular Success Story is in Katie's honor.  I was speaking with a leader from Howard County and she mentioned that she would bring her daughter to the leaders meeting that Katie would have for the Howard County leaders.  Her daughter knew Katie and would visit with her at the leaders meetings as well.  The little girl brought home a paper from school for the Jump Rope for Heart Program for the American Heart Association.  The kids can jump rope in honor of someone if they would like and this little girl told her mom she was going to jump in honor of Katie.  WOW, Katie might not have realized exactly how big of an influence she had on the kids but they did look up to her.  What a great testament to her character and dedication to the organization.

(Katie was a staff member of Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland who passed away last year.)
