Why give to the United Way Campaign?
Actually........
"You don't give TO the United Way.
You give THROUGH the United Way."
Fall 2010 Campaign Goal: $260,000
With one donation or a series of donations through a monthly credit card pledge, a contribution made individually or through an employee campaign you are able to simultaneous contribute to 13 agencies that provide hundreds of programs and services for our friends and neighbors in Callaway County.
The Board of Directors carefully reviews the agency's budgets and programs prior to determining the amount to be allocated to each agency. In addition, each agency performs an annual audit to assure the funds are used appropriately.
Nearly 90% of every dollar we receive goes to the agencies we fund. Our all-volunteer Board of Directors scrutinize the needs of our community and the agencies that serve it, funding those that can accomplish the most good. Our agencies provide over 200 programs and services that touch nearly 10,000 Callaway County residents each year - from the youngest child to the most senior adult - we all know someone that has benefited in some way. The Callaway County United Way makes sense and you can make a huge difference in the lives of many when you make a donation!
We require the agencies serve the community in the best way possible with unduplicated services.
