Mid-Missouri Legal Services, a not-for-profit corporation organized in 1978, provides free legal services in civil matters (non-criminal cases) to low-income people in eleven counties in central Missouri, including Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Chariton, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Miller, Moniteau, Osage and Randolph.  Legal services provided by MMLS range from advice and brief services (such as drafting letters or simple documents) to full representation by an attorney in an administrative hearing or court proceeding.  Services are provided to eligible clients at no cost.
