Callaway County United Way Announces Executive Director Now Full Time

One Full Time Employee will help the CCUW grow to meet the needs of the community.

Fulton, MO, January 8, 2008:  The Board of Directors of the Callaway County United Way formally announced today that Kathy Richey Liddle, formerly a part-time employee of the organization, has agreed to take the Executive Director position on a full time basis.  Richey-Liddle has been with the Callaway County United Way for 10 years.

“This is a going to be a great benefit to the community as a whole, not just the United Way,” said Board President, Peg Dzicek.  “Our five-year plan includes so much more than we’re doing right now, “ Dzicek continued, “that we couldn’t possible expect to reach our goals, financial and otherwise, with a part time employee.  Kathy has done a superb job since 1998.  This is the logical next step.”

The Five Year Plan for the Callaway County United Way includes the new 2-1-1 services throughout the state, the Born Learning Campaign, Community Impact and the traditional fundraising.

The mission of the Callaway County United Way is to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another by serving as a funding entity to provide financial support to high priority human service agencies and as a community catalyst to match local needs with human service providers.  Recipients of 2008 funding include The American Red Cross, Boy Scouts, Callaway County 4-H, Callaway Senior Center, CardV, Family Counseling Center, Girl Scouts, HAVEN House, HeadStart, Kingdom Projects, Kingdom Respite Care, Mid Missouri Legal Services, SERVE, and the YMCA.
