Callaway County United Way Announces
Executive Director Now Full Time
One Full Time Employee will help the CCUW
grow to meet the needs of the community.
Fulton, MO, January 8,
2008:
The Board of Directors
of the Callaway County United Way formally announced today that Kathy
Richey Liddle, formerly a part-time employee of the organization, has
agreed to take the Executive Director position on a full time basis.
Richey-Liddle has been with the Callaway County United Way for 10 years.
“This is a going to be
a great benefit to the community as a whole, not just the United Way,”
said Board President, Peg Dzicek. “Our five-year plan includes so much
more than we’re doing right now, “ Dzicek continued, “that we couldn’t
possible expect to reach our goals, financial and otherwise, with a part
time employee. Kathy has done a superb job since
1998. This is the logical next
step.”
The Five Year Plan for
the Callaway County United Way includes the new 2-1-1 services
throughout the state, the Born Learning Campaign, Community Impact and
the traditional fundraising.
The
mission of the Callaway County United Way is to increase the organized
capacity of people to care for one another by serving as a funding
entity to provide financial support to high priority human service
agencies and as a community catalyst to match local needs with human
service providers.
Recipients of 2008
funding include The American Red Cross, Boy Scouts, Callaway County 4-H,
Callaway Senior Center, CardV, Family Counseling Center, Girl Scouts,
HAVEN House, HeadStart, Kingdom Projects, Kingdom Respite Care, Mid
Missouri Legal Services, SERVE, and the YMCA.
